New Page: Inspiration

by Misty Dawn

I’ll be working tons on the blog over the next month, so for those of you that subscribe to the blog, I hope you’ll like what you find =)

The new page: Inspiration

will basically run top to bottom starting with the most current inspiration, down to the oldest.

It won’t come to your inbox.  It’ll just be a little space to go when needed. (You can find it at the top of the blog, no matter where you are in the site)

My inspiration for this page is {Philippians 4:8}

truly one of my favorite verses ever.

“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, and whatever is admirable – focus on these things.”

There is just plenty to distract us every day, every hour even, from the true, pure, lovely & admirable things in this life.  Distractions are inevitable.  And they will break us.  Sometimes for just a moment.  Sometimes for many moments.  Finding that balance between knowing what to embrace and knowing what to let go of will surely take us our entire lives.  Thankfully, moment by moment, we learn that line . . . that line where we sit, and sometimes even stand . . . that fence . . . that fence line we allow our mind to travel along.  Over time we learn where we are going to set up protection, and where we are going to allow travelers to come and go as they please . . . and which travelers.  We learn the gates that need locks.  And we learn those areas that are totally and completely safe, in time.

Moment by moment.

Thought by thought.

Focusing on the good is not about ignoring what is wrong.  It’s not a naive, irresponsible & carefree way of living . . . it’s about grasping what it is that we actually have control over, and letting go of the things which we do not.

I read once somewhere that we should drag our negative thoughts away by the ears, by the heels, or absolutely any other way necessary.  And moment by moment, I’m learning to do so.
