churches on every corner . .

“The way you live…

The things you say…

The love you show…

It matters.”

My passion – missions.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.  And behold, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Growing up in Texas, the idea of being a Christian was no foreign concept.  Big churches on every corner.  But what Christianity was . . . that was totally lost on me.

Do good things and go to Heaven, right?

I always believed in God.

But I didn’t know who or what He was.

but through missions, God intervened.

as a teenager, I began going to Wakeboard Church and for the first time ever, was told about Jesus.

God in flesh.

and that He wanted a relationship, with me.

I’d never felt like anyone wanted a relationship with me.

I learned that He loved me so much.

God opened my eyes to see His righteousness.

and to see that my sin separated me from Him.

this was big news.

eternal news.

literally eternal life or death news.

and even though He knew I’d live in sin, and apart from Him, Jesus died for me.

without missions,

without people going therefore . . .

without people introducing me to Jesus . . .

I would have never known of this perfect gift.

with new eyes, I see people passing all the time who need to hear what I needed to hear.

God has burdened my heart,

and placed a passion for missions deep within.

as of today, I’m being trained for overseas missions, but in no way does that mean I’m waiting four years . . .

missions across the street is just as important as missions across the ocean.

without mission minded people, without people willing to share with me who Jesus was, and the love He has for us all, I wouldn’t be following Him.  I’d be living a life that leads straight to death.

Praise God for raising up people that share the gospel.

I challenge you to do the same.

The commands of Jesus should not be taken lightly.
